White Hart Lane Sports Pavilion built in 1932

After the field was purchased for a sports field in 1928 the Middlesex Education Committee paid for the shell of the sports pavilion, and Mr Chick, woodwork master, and the senior school fitted out the pavilion with the help of an old scholar who was skilled in carpentry but unemployed at the time. See pages 134-135 in the school history for details and photos.

Pavilion Interior in 1949

The ground floor central area was panelled out in specimen woods donated by Dominion and Colonial countries, with identifying plates attached. An oversize panel from one Australian state had to erected in the main school hall instead (and vanished in 1962!)
