Welcome to Trinity School
About us
To all readers and subscribers to the Trinity Grammar School website:
I'm very sorry to report this...
Unfortunately the Trinity Grammar School website that was revived over 5 years ago is about to be mothballed and will cease to be available after 7 March 2026 or thereabouts. There are a number of reasons for this.
- The original finance to start up and maintain the website is now exhausted. This finance was predicted to last for 5 years and has achieved this. Facebook is free.
- The independent facilitator who worked with us in getting the material to the WorldWideWeb and provided our ongoing technical support is now in ill-health and cannot continue.
- There has been no updates or additional material added to the website for many months suggesting we have now harvested just about all the available material of interest. Previous efforts at creating a website with a long-term future that were produced by both Don Grammar and Friends Re-United have not survived. This time, building on the work started by the late Peter Turner, we have been able to regenerate and add to the website that we have enjoyed using over the past five years. There will also be a passive saved copy of all the material on the website that will be stored in the Trinity collection, held at Haringey's Bruce Castle Museum archive. Personally, as an ex-pupil, this project has been of great interest to work on, and I have enjoyed reading and processing an immense amount of material given to me for inclusion on the website, and enjoyed the challenge of “improving” the appearance of many images, and challenging the system to achieve new features. Finally, I would like to thank all those who provided such great historical material for inclusion on the website, and particularly a huge thanks to Colin Marr who spent much time collecting and collating the widely scattered material, and provided many of the new images.
Please note: this only applies to the Trinity Grammar School website as the Facebook pages are not affected and will continue to be administered by Peter Hamblin.
